Match Report
Trialist Tony Louch's hatrick helped Paul Birch produce a fine comeback to draw 3-3 with Metropolitan league team, South London Lions. Manager Paul Howe was forced to play Ashley Watts in goal after John Warwzewski's freak accident on Friday evening. This has thrown the manager's plans into disarray and meant a reshuffle in the team. Brendan Cassidy came into the midfield plus trialist's Tony Louch and Eze Ezekiel came in to the side. The home side found themselves 2-0 down after a matter of minutes, firstly when the ball came over from a freekick and the player slotted past Watts. Then shortly after, a fine shot beat Watts from 25 yards to stun the home side. However, the home side soon fought back when trialist Louch balsted a shot into the roof of the net to make it 1-2. Five minutes later Louch beat his marker in the box and fired another impressive shot into the far corner to give the Lions keeper no chance. In the second half, Louch put the home side ahead but then Howe was forced into a further change by bringing himself on in goal and moving Watts into defence. The Lions then unfortunately were able to break through and grab the draw. Man of the Match Tony Louch - An explosive introduction for the new man. Manager Paul Howe will now be hoping he can tempt the Striker to sign for the Birch
